October 8, 2024 - BC Elections Town Hall
Six Hong Konger organizations— Novasky Immigrant Services Society Vancouver, Civic Education Society, Vancouver Kaifong Association, Vancouver Hong Kong Forum Society, Hong Kong House, and Hong Kong Companions Society—jointly hosted the BC Provincial Forum Q&A Session, which concluded successfully.
Candidates from the three major political parties—BC NDP, BC Conservative, and BC Green—participated, with an audience of over 100 people. Over the past two weeks, community opinions were collected, and questions were gathered and asked on-site, including inter-party questioning. The discussions were serious, direct, and intense.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in our provincial election debate town hall!
The event was both dynamic and enlightening, featuring engaging discussions and a spirited Q&A session. It was truly inspiring to witness Hong Kongers actively participating, asking insightful questions, and critically reflecting on the impact of government decisions on their lives.
A special thank you to the candidates who took part:
Hon Chan (BC Conservatives, Richmond Centre)
Françoise Raunet (Green, Vancouver-Fraserview)
Janet Routledge (BCNDP, Burnaby North)
