Community Leadership Advancement Program(C.L.A.P.) 2023
Co-organized by Civic Education Society and Novasky Immigrant Services Society
Community Leaders Forum to present local leaders’ successful experiences and share their visions for community leadership in Canada.
The leadership program aims to provide perspectives from frontline workers to executives, understanding their strategies and ideas/visions development. We welcome the recent Hong Kong Returnees, Newcomers, and Students; we share our experiences and stories. Together, we engage the community to better understand Canadian values in order to become an active citizen.
Grand Opening 4 March, 2023, followed by consecutive Saturdays
Program objectives: This program is designed to offer a gateway for participants to acquire and share the fundamental principles, mindset, and skill set related to community leadership. It also aims to provide a leap step for participants to actively engage with the community and understand the core values of Canada. Participants would become an active citizen in the community.
Day 1 (Mar 4) 9am - 5pm @ Choi Hall, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. (Vancouver)
Day 2 (Mar 11) 9am - 5pm @ UBC sponsored by University of British Columbia (Vancouver) School of Social Work.
Day 3 (Mar 18) 9am - 5pm @ RDC Richmond Centre for Disability
Day 4 (Mar 25) 9am - 6pm - Outdoor hiking
Day 5 (Apr 1) 9am - 5pm @ RDC Richmond Centre for Disability
Program fee: $100. Full refund of $100 upon completion 75% or more of the program.
